Nano-ring hair extensions

We offer a nano ring hair extension service with our senior stylist Louise.

Please note: We do not offer any concessionary discounts on hair extension services. Prices are by consultation only, so please call us to discuss.

Nano ring hair extensions are heat-free and glue-free, 100 % human hair extensions that are secured to your hair using a small ceramic bead. The bead is closed around your hair to hold the extension in place. Nano ring extensions are 90% smaller than micro rings, making them more natural looking and discreet. The hair is reusable for up to 12 months, using the correct aftercare and products. They’re perfect for adding length, volume and flashes of colour to your hair and suitable for fine to medium hair only.

How are they attached?

We pass a small section of your natural hair through the nano loop or threading tool. This is then used to attach the hair to a ceramic bead. We then press the rings shut using special connectors to secure the extension to your hair. This method is much kinder to your hair than using glue and bonds, allowing your own hair to grow healthily.

Maintaining your Nano Ring Hair extensions

You’ll need to come back to your stylist every 4/10 weeks for maintenance of your extensions.

It’s normal to lose some extensions during this time and the odd link may become visible. Your stylist will tell you how to reduce the chance of this happening.

If you suffer from hair loss, thinning, alopecia, sensitive scalp, are pre/post pregnancy, currently pregnant or taking medication then this service may not be suitable for you.

If you are unsure about your expectations and your your ability to manage and style these extensions, you’ll need to consider your own hair condition along with our stylist’s own professional judgement before you commit to having these extensions. We may, on some occasions, choose not to offer Nano Ring Extensions if we think they are not suitable, however we’ll always discuss other possible options for you.

After Care

Never wash extensions with your hair tipped forwards

  1. Brush your hair thoroughly only using the correct hair extension brush, starting at the ends to remove any tangles
  2. Using warm water (not hot), wet your hair
  3. Apply the recommended, hair extension shampoo to your hair
  4. Gently massage the root area and stroke the product down to the lengths and ends
  5. DO NOT rub or scrub the mid-lengths and ends
  6. Rinse all products off the hair

Natural hair needs to be conditioned as much as your new extensions. You should use hair extension products every time you wash your hair.

  1. Apply the conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends only. Do not apply conditioner to the Nano links.
  2. Gently stroke the conditioner through your hair. Give yourself time. Allow around 5-10 minutes to do this.
  3. Rinse all the product from your hair thoroughly, again using warm water, not hot.

When rinsing, always rinse for a minute or two longer than you would normally to allow for the extra length and volume you have.

Towel Drying

Gently squeeze any excess water from your hair. Very gently, use a towel to pat your hair to remove the excess moisture. NEVER rub your hair with the towel.

Using a hair extension detangling spray, spray a fine mist all over your hair. Using a soft bristle brush, gently work from the ends towards the root. Always support the links with one of your hands.

We recommend you use shampoo, conditioner and spray designed specifically for use with hair extensions. Never use shampoos and conditioners that contain any parabens, sulphates, fruit acids/citrus, honey or oatmeal/wheatgerm, as these can cause your hair to become matted.

Drying and finishing

Do not leave your hair to dry naturally, this could loosen your hair extensions. . When blow-drying, only use a cool or medium heat. NEVER go to sleep with your hair still wet or damp.
